5 minutes after shooting light and within eyesight of me and my truck, my friend put the smack down on this 8 point in full rut. I continued on to the spot I had been planning on hunting and discovered a doe feeding about 300 yards away. Roughly 2 hours later I finally decided to pull the trigger on this small 6 that I had passed up earlier in the season. He came out in the exact same spot the doe had 2 hours prior. 305 yard neck shot with a Remington 700 .308.
