Saturday morning started off with a shift at Viking Lumber, and home to work on a project. Finished up around 4pm and went to have date night with my wife. She suggested I had a few more minutes and should probably walk to our food plot. (Jokingly and a went out the door she said you may just catch one right in the plot) 
I closed the door and took a short walk, as I rounded the corner low and behold a 10 pointer just on the edge digging in the mock scrape I made. I startled him and across the river he went heading for the swamp. I ran about 30 yards to a clearing where I had better visibility. Just as I got there he came in to view. Put a good shot in to him and he changed directions running across the field dead away from me. Just as I was about to loose sight of him he turned again. He offered me a broadside shot at 200 yards walking. I make a quick decision to move the peep site up on his neck. This one stopped him dead in his tracks!
