Went on a bird hunting trip with Brian Lunt, Matthew Cook, and Lewis Dyer up to Baker Lake in 2017. After driving around the dirt roads and finding all of "0" birds, we decided to come back to camp where I found this gem. Because I didn't have camp on, I decided that I could blend in better if I were shirtless. I snuck up on them and was within 20 yards when I raised my shotgun and pulled the trigger, nothing happened. I tried fixing it while I sat there, nothing. I then snuck back to camp and took Lew's gun and snuck back up on them. Before I snuck back out there, I plugged his gun and messed it up and could only shoot one shell at a time. Who needs camo when you are made of pure predator. What a great trip!

My first solo hunt in the books! I managed to call in this 15-18 lb bird that had a 10-11 inch beard and spurs over an inch long! Very memorable hunt!
