The jackal took another toad buck this year after about 50 hours of hunting time. His patience and resolve paid off today after being soaked and freezing. Deer been very scarce this year due to the amount of feed in the woods. That said, deer that have been sighted,  have been quality. This buck was very reluctant to show himself, but two does he was chasing, ￼ lured him into the field.￼ The buck was running away, quartering, but messed up by stopping and looking back. Auggie was presented a shoulder, and hit his mark. The 6.5mm bullet passed through the shoulder bone, crushing it, then hit the heart before exiting. The deer took a few steps and dropped in the field.
