My oldest son Adrians first deer age 10 button I called him in off the swamp with a bleat can with 25 yards of us and Adrian made a quartering away shot on him at 40 yards. His rifle was a remington R25 .243 rounds used were Hornady Reduced recoil 87 grain.  Earlier in the season he missed a 120 inch class 8 pointer coming across the swale at about 120 yards and it was a lot of hrs on blind  before he got a shot at this guy but he was super happy.
