Biggest fish of my life. Went out with Marsh River Outfitters and the Gametiks crew along with Jeremy T. Grant to shoot a video. Brought in over 30 Striper but only 1 keeper by John Gibbs. This one measured in at 43.5 inches. I could not have done it without the expertise of Marsh River Outfitters and Andrew Gibbs, who set us up for success.

First harvest on Gametiks. Long time coming. The first one I caught came off the hook, knocked over my coffee, flapped his face against my phone leaving a fishy film and sprayed blood all over my shirt before flopping back over the edge of the dam and into the water. Didn’t want this one getting away, but didn’t have a net, so stuck him head first into my nephew’s sand castle bucket and pressed the side of his head in with my fist till he stopped moving. He was delicious. Thanks to brother-in-law and co-founder of Gametiks, John Gibbs for setting me up with the right bait and gear.

It’ll be a while before you beat that one.
