Opening morning 2017 blacktail.  Spotted 2 bucks at 340 yards. When I finally was set up to make the shot they where at 346 yards. I made one shot hitting the buck in the heart, my husband (spotter and guide) watch the deer run downhill about 30 yards. 

Hiked in 3 miles made a 202 yard shot dropped him where he stood.  Boned out and pack out to the truck by noon.  

The stories  are what it's all about. keeping them all in one place and building a lifetime hunting scrap book to pass down to younger generations .  Very nice.  

Is this a whitetail or some other sub species?
