Sitting in a tree stand with my dad, had my eye on a 8 pointer all year, was determined that was going to be his. A hour into hunting 4 pointer walks out, and he said that was the one he wanted. He shot it and was super excited, 2 more points then last year. 
Can't wait to get the mount back! 

Slims Ice fishing derby 2021, was a good weekend only caught a few fish but I got a free ice trap and was drawn for the lifetime fishing license. I already have my lifetime hunt and fish so I passed it down to my older brother.

Laker. Caught the mose fish out of my family this weekend! Good time and they put up a good fight. I learned to be patient and to not yank the line because they will spit the hook.

Had my jig hole in the tent and had a dead smelt on the bottom. We were cleaning up our traps, and my drag went zinging...my jig pole was vent right over. I got the only cusk this weekend. Good eating! 


Went and hauled my 10 traps, was a good day on the water.

While waiting for my Grandmothers Celebration of Life, my Dad and I decided to just go to the beach down the road and try to catch a fish.

Went on a guided hunt that I won on facebook for 12 days of Christmas with Bullets and Broadheads (guide Josh Rollins) went out early in the morning, called in some big Tom's. They were strutting in and I fired, just missed it. Got feathers from this big boy. My scope on my brand new scope loosed up from the ride, I practiced the day before with it and hit alot of bullseyes. We went other places and I just couldn't get another shot on one. Great hunt! My dad and I went hunting everyday before school. My mom called to see if I got one yet, and I had to set the phone down because this tom walked out, I nailed him with my shotgun. He weighed 19 lbs and had a 9 inch beard.

Go to florida every year, went fishing down a creek in kissimmee fl. Didnt expect to catch anything, but found a honey hole! Gar put up a good fight and have very sharp teeth. Pretty cool catch.

1st year lobstering 🦞  had 10 traps and fished out of Stonington Maine. My best day was 100 lbs. I was some happy, I saved my money to put towards my own boat and this year ill be fishing on my new boat. I hope to have a good year and get better and better at learning the bottom and where the lobsters like to be.

COMPLETED MY GRAND SLAM FOR 2022- Dad got drawn for a zone 6 cow permit- I was the subpermittee and he said he would let me shoot first. 
So 3rd week of October, we headed to camp for a week hunt. We got a guide through Dudley Brook Guide Service- they are amazing! 
We woke up at 4:45 headed out, rode sun up to sun down- saw a couple cows 10 mins into daylight- too far of a shot, tried getting closer but hey bolted. We saw a bull, stood right broadside- saw another bull..see another cow-took off quickly. Day 2, daylight broke we took a right turn- truck behind us took a left, we heard a bang! Well they left with no moose(no clue if they missed or what). It was real foggy and we see a moose clear across a huge cut- a bull of course. Leaving the roads we see a cow that had been harvested and was getting gutted. Went home empty handed. 
Day 3- lots of naps later- rain- fog wRm Temps about 69°. Around 3ish, Dad said back up, there's a moose- (mum woke me up from my nap) saying get ready there's a moose. A huge cow! Got out, bang, bang. She turned and headed towards us, mum said she saw a big hole in the side of her. She went into the woods, on a mission. We started tracking, no blood- but we were following foot prints. About 2 inches in the wet ground- came upon a pile of blood- the guide went back to the truck to grab some markers for our tracking. 15 mins pass, we continue- wasn't looking good. Found some more blood- a bug pile of her fresh poop. She took a wild turn- here it is raining buckets- we come to a stop and found some more blood- we discuss that we think we're jumping her. We stop for about 5 mins and up ahead in the brush- in a old skidded trail, we see a brown spot. Mum looked trough the scope and she said it's her, I see her ear. Dad looked and finally we identified it was her. Bang- no sense for her to suffer. She was about to drop..she sat there staring at us the whole time. She was a beast! We were a ways in the woods, the guide called his son to bring a atv to get this baby out. Finally around 6:30ish we got her out of the woods. All day we had the skng"sweet Caroline- bump bump bump" so I named my moose Caroline 😃.  This completed my 2022 Grand Slam! I am just 10 years old and this is the best accomplishment I've completed. I'm so happy, and thankful for this. Thanks for my guides Travis from Silverridge on putting me on a bear, Mark from Dudley Brook Guide for putting us on moose and my dad for being my hunting buddy through it all. For giving me the opportunity to get my grand slam, he didn't have to give me his moose. He's been waiting for years to get drawn. So thankful for this season. Now I can get a doe!

Cross bow hunt 2020. 
Passed up a few deer, a 4, 6 and 3 spikes. Set in the tree stand with my dad multiple hours. Waiting for a 8 to walk out that we've seen on the cam. 1st time ever hunting with a cross bow. Smoked this 6 pointer a few days into the season. Hit the lungs and ran about 100 yards and was in a heap. 
Great hunt once again!

I'd been hunting before school, after school for all of cross bow season and rifle. I passed up alot of bucks because I was determined to get a bigger one.. Dad and I set up a new ground blind, after waiting and waiting this spike walks out. I tell dad I'm gonna take him. He dropped in his tracks, I was so eager to get a prize for all my hard work. It wasn't the big boy I wanted but it helped fill the freezer.

Went trolling with my family, 1st time in our new boat. We all caught nice browns. This baby was a struggle to reel in, but I landed it. 

Went hunting before school and see a bunch of turkeys, so I shot the biggest of the bunch. It wasn't a Tom but it was pretty big. Dropped it and went off to school.

Up to camp in Island falls, we caught about 20 pickereel. It was a fun day.

Salmon, up to camp. Pleasant Lake, been a slow pond all year. Went 3 times and we finally caught a fish.

First time catching mud puppies, went to Messolongskee for the weekend. 1st day my sister caught a pike and me and my dad just got mud puppys. They are really cool. 

Family day, we caught a ton of bass. My mom caught a 5.5 lb large mouth it was so big.

Went smelting and ended up with elwives, which were really fun to catch because they are bigger than a smelt. It was so fun even though we all got soaked.

Weather was rough, water spraying up over the rails, made it a little harder to gaft the bouys. Got 20lbs out of 10 traps today, on a 2 day soak, lobsters are coming on upside a little bit. 


I got a bonus tag this year, I see tons of does all year but wanted to get my buck 1st. So I tagged out on my spike horn and a couple days later decided to bag this ole girl. That same morning I got my turkey.  It was a nice body, and I shot it with the crossbow. Its such a diffrent hunt when shooting with crossbow. Me and my dad figured out after shooting, wait atleast 15 mins before tracking. If you don't you push the deer and end up making it run and making it nearly impossible to find. I shot this waited and went back and she was right there. So happy I got to shoot 2 deer!

Had fun I got 31 lbs out of my 10 traps. I caught 2 with huge claws and a few hard shell. I put on more pig hide and tuna heads. Hopefully next time they are full.

1st ever Turkey hunt. 6 years old, shot 2 bearded turkeys.
It was pouring rain and my dad and uncle took me out hunting. Even though we were soaked, we still sat and called in the Tom's into a field. I learned how to use the calls and what the different noises do to make them come to you. 
I shot them with my new 20 gauge my grandfather bought me for Turkey hunting. 
I cant wait to go again, my parents are getting my turkeys mounted because they are my first ever turkeys!

Beautiful day out, had to bleach my rope because of the sea squirts. Lobsters hopefully will start hitting soon. Its been very dry. 


Running good today, mom and I caught about 5 brookies. Was hoping for a a nice brown. 

These fish have a story. I got a flag went to the hole was pulling it in and there were 2 fish. My mom got a flag and her fish swam to mine and wound itself up and I reeled it up though my hole. It was so funny

Shingle Creek again. We've been fishing this every vacation and never knew there were bow fish in here. 
This this almost snapped my pole in half! I reeled and reeled, he was fighting so hard. The hardest fish I've ever fought and I catch gar. 
My dad was struggling to catch him in the net because he kept diving down when I got him to the side of the boat. I caught the biggest 2 fish all vacation! This thing I hooked right through the lip.

On Messolongskee. Caught this nice bass. It was cold wet raining and sleeting. We didn't even get all the traps out and my flag went up, I reeled him in and that was the end of the catching fish for the day. 

Went fishing yesterday with my Dad and a buddy. Was trolling and caught this bass. It was a good day, a little windy. 

1st time kayaking. Me and my mom went for a couple hours and I caught 10 baby bass. I was using my favorite popper. It was so fun and I can't wait to go again. 

Caught this big boy out to haul, I love catching big ones they are more money. 

Out to haul, and this bad boy comes up in one of my traps. It was so big, biggest one I have caught. It had barnacles on it and some of his claw was broke. He was to big and the measure wouldn't fit so we had to throw him back into the water.

Went fishing prob one of the last times of the season during open water. We only caught a few bass, it was slow but nice to get out and be on the water. There were alot of bugs on the water

Hauling my 10 traps, baited them with rock fish and pig hide. Not far from shore in the rocks. The lobsters were covered in slime from just sitting on the bottom not moving. 1st haul in my new boat 

Fishing on Chemo Pond, caught alot of fish there's are just a couple. Such a fun day just fish after fish. Catch and release. Was with my Mom and Dad

Caught this nice lobster. One of the bigger catches of the day 

First day of crossbow season- before school me and dad went out. This 7 pointer was broadside, I double lunged him with my crossbow. We let him set for about 30 min and started tracking and he wasn't very far from where I shot him.
We have learned that when you hunt with crossbow, if you allow 15-30 mins before tracking they end up not going far. If you push them they can run a ways. 
This is one step closer to my GRAND SLAM! 

Went fishing at Walkers pond, went for white perch but ended up with bass instead. 

Great Moose- My 1st ever bass tournament. We sure didn't catch the biggest but caught our 5 limit per boat. Despite some boat troubles, we had a blast fishing from 8:00am till 4:30.

Filled my doe tag, ended up being a button buck. I'd say it was a successful hunting season. 2 deer, 2 turkeys and a moose hunt with mum. I didn't get my bear this year, but I did hunt several times and got my trapping license and learned how to set a trap. The bear were just smarter than us, the disadvantage being not living in a heavy populated bear territory so having to travel to hunt bear.

Mom got a cow permit for zone 5. We went up to my grandparents camp to stay. I was the sub permitte on mums permit. We headed our Monday morning and was sitting at the end of a road waiting for daylight. Someone pulled up behind us and sat. We wanted the 1st clearing they wanted the second. Daylight hit, we walked up over a ridge, lots of sign. Headed down the road went in a ways and headed back out. Bang bang bang 13 shots layer- I think the other people must of got something. 
Well that day past no moose sighted. Day 2, we headed out with diff plan. The moose woukd be coming down off the ridge and crossing, we turned around and headed back to mile 5...it was a bitter cold frosty morning. In the ditch and going up the road was wet tracks where a moose freshly crossed. Got out and followed the tracks, the wind was blowing right at the direction of them. They must of smelled us because they circled down around and up ahead was crossing the road. Mom and I were locked and loaded, cow and cow were crossing. 3 steps they were across, I pulled up and I couldn't get a steady shot and bang..Mom shot. We were running up the where they were and Mom said Alex take the kill shot! She was out of breathe behind me a ways her and my grandfather. Me and Matthew went up and there she was laying right off the edge of the ditch, blood squirting like a fountain. Went up and sure enough she was done. It was so awesome! Another moose hunt for me. One I will never forget with my family.

Starting the season with one crossbow with snapped strings and one that broke while siting it in, ended up getting another crossbow. Went out hunting with my dad, see this 5 point buck and let the arrow fly. Looked like a perfect hit. Left the woods and waited about 40 mins to start tracking. First spot was alot of hair and blood. The blood trail was easy to follow, was coming out both sides. He swooped around a bend and hit a dirt road. He left big dig marks and a blood trail. We entered another patch of woods, heard some noises so stopped the track for about 15 more mins then headed back in. Sure enough a little ways in, he was humped up right there. Perfect shot right through his lungs. Thank God we had a jet sled, we threw him there and we took turns getting him to the truck which was a ways away. Now I'm headed on a moose hunt with my mom this coming weekend. A cow in zone 5. 

Went to Frost pond and did a little fishing. I caught the biggest catch of the day, this tiny bass. Its not about the size of the catch but the fun your having. We did some blueberry picking on the way our through. 

Me and mom went on our annual kayak trip to Burntland Pond and we got so many bass. We would say whoever catches 10 first wins, and we did that a couple times. One time my line broke and i had to rig it back up fast, i needed 1 more fish and so did mum. While rigging up mine mom had a fish on she got it to her kayak and it splashed back in the water so it wasnt "technically" caught, i set my line back in the water and bam i got one and did the same thing. It fell off before i could land it. We did this a few times, as the sun was setting. In the end i caught another and landed it while mum was riggin back up because she broke her line too. It was fun 

Went to camp for the weekend, and went fishing on Pleasant Lake. Caught some bass.

Went fishing on Little Georges pond, spend the whole day there. Caught a good amount of fish, I caught a bunch of bass and pikereel and a nice big stick was the biggest catch of the day :) 

Took a trip to BurntLand pond and caught a bunch of small bass in the sun dolphin. They were bitting pretty good when you can get into all the tight weedy areas. 

A little brookie fishing at the Lily Pond, caught my limit in like 10 mins but it was still fun. 

Spring turkey hunt turkey #1 with dad. Used a shotgun this time, instead of my cross bow. 

Caught in New York near Syracuse at one of the overpasses. We caught alot of bass that day, it was hot. We used rubber worms.

Went on a guided bear hunt on youth day. My guide was Travis, from Silver Ridge Outfitters. Sat in a stand with my dad, wasn't even dark and this bear comes out. I was using my mom's 308 Browning semi auto. The bear came in and climbed up a tree fast, so crazy how they shimmy up so quickly, he came back down and headed towards the barrell. I blasted him! He ran a little bit and let out the death groan. It happened so fast, my dad thought I was going to have a scope mark on my fore head because I had my left arm not really secure on the gun because so I basically shot it one handed because I didn't want him to see me move. 
The following week we went to pick up the meat from the butcher, we got there and they gave us a box. We filled the cooler we brought and my parents said there's no way this is your beat the cooler was full and we still have more meat to add. All the packages said hot, mild, onion garlic all sausage, we ordered no sausage. Brought it back in and we figured out he gave my meat to another guy that hunted through the same guide my bear. I had this 300 plus lb bear and that guy had my 100lber. So after hours of phone calls and getting lost in the woods because the GPS doesn't know all these dirt roads I ended up with my meat and he was happy he got all he payed for. Mine is so tender and juciy. This is my 3rd black bear. I got my turkey this year, now my bear. My dad and I got our moose permit, so if I get this moose and my deer I can get my grand slam at 10 years old. This is my goal for this year! I love to hunt so much

Fishing on Walkers pond was fun, got a few bass and white perch. This was one of the bigger ones of the day.

Went fishing all day at the Lily Pond. We caught about 10 brookies and released them. We did keep these 3 because they were hooked and bleeding. Gave them to my gramma to eat she loves them. It was a good day at the pond with my mom and brother. It was warm We even got a little sun burn.

Shingle Creek, Kissimmee FL. Reeled in this bass, it was where my mom caught her big bass last vacation. 
He put up a food fight, I just got a new fishing pole and it's blue and white realtree. It works really good. We were in the canoe and I kept getting bites near the tree. Finally I hooked him, he was so heavy for me to pick up. 

So long lake derby started off so much snow you could barely move. Some of the roads were not plowed so it was hard to get to the pond. We went to Cross Lake, the wheelers were all froze up wouldn't Start. It was-15 and the derby had begun. We put heat packs on the starters of the wheelers, put our eskimo tents over them and started our buddy heaters. Finally got one running, the snow on the pond was up to our knees with some soft wet spots. Dad got stuck our stuff was everywhere. Finally got our crew out there and set up shop. We set out our traps it was so cold it was horrid. The holes iced up every 10 mins, if you could handle laddeling them every couple hours you were doing good. 
The day went on we didn't have much everything was froze up, we said screw it and waited as long as we could to haul up. We'll my flag didn't go off and I had this beautiful Salmon on my hooked tangled with someone else's line with a brookie. It was great, we brought it in to weight in at the landing in a complete blizzard. It was ozs off from placing 3rd. Just like the year before. I will win one of these years. It was a crazy cold derby at long lake this year. Brrrr.

Up on Moosehead Lake for the 2021 Derby. Spend the weekend right on the lake. Went fishing friday-sunday. 
Had a great time with my parents and grandparents. Got the most fish this weekend out of us all. Didn't win anything but it was a good weekend spent. 
Didn't catch any on Friday but a cust, on Saturday morning I had the 1st flag and I got him! Nice Laker, first one I've ever caught! 

Awesome.  I was at Moosehead near Kineo.  It was brutal on Saturday but Sunday not so bad.

Long lake fishing derby 2021.
Ist time ever going and it was so fun. We started the day of -12, the sun came up and we were running for salmon and flags all day. Spent it with my family, cant wait to go back and see if we can catch bigger ones. It was so cold that the flags were not even going off because the holes iced up. At the end of the day almost all out traps had a fish on with no flag. It was a good experience. The derby sat-sun, my dad accidently took us to Canada trying to get to Sinclair ME 🤣 We had to go through customs and back through the US. It was scary and we were not expecting that. Other than that the weekend was well spent. Can't wait to do it again. We talked to people that were fishing the pond and they said they don't see large salmon usually. So we crushed em🐟🎣🧊

This is an awesome story and an awesome bear.   Remember this!  Had you got your bear on youth day you would not have had two more days to hunt with your dad.  The Gametiks slogan,  “A hunt is best measured by the quality rather than the size of the query”.  The quality of your hunt is huge!!  :) 

Went on a 3 day hunt up north with my dad, we stayed at my grandparents camp for about a week. We had a guide and sat in the same set that I harvested my bear in 2 years ago, this stand always brings me luck. The 1st 7 hour evening set it was on youth day. 1:00 it started pouring, of course my mother dressed me with 5 layers in Hope's I wouldnt get wet. Well 7 hours later and it was still raining, me and my dad sat there in the stand the whole time. A bear came out and the wind swirled and he went back in the woods and we didnt see him again. So sunday we decided to go on our next hunt on monday, which was a much nicer day. We sat at 1:00, and at 4:00 a big bear came out, he was estimated 400lbs, huge. I was super excited, he keep circling and was headed for the barrel, I was stoked I was gonna get this doozie. Nope he looked at the barrel and trotted off. Another day down. Well the next day we went to a hunting store, got dad a full face shield and both of us a pair of gloves. We didnt know if the bear was seeing us in the tree or what was happening. So we got ready. We were gonna get him, we went into the stand at 1:00 again, and we put some bear magnet jelly bait just outside the tree line to get the bear to poke his head out of the thickets. Around 2:00 that big honker showed him self in the thickets through our the woods, went right to where we were dropped off and smelled the ground and kept walking up the road. He outsmarted us again, well my dads real irritates now and I told him "dad we are we gonna go. I doubt another bear is coming out." Well what would a true hunter do, wait and see I guess..discouraged in the stand, waiting for what seems like nothing..at 6:10 here comes a bear. Well he stopped in a opening and bam! I took a shot, hit em in the neck and he dropped. Wasnt my beast I had my eye on, but a bear is a bear, meat is meat. My dads a lobstermen and he dont get much time off so I had to get one! It was a long hunt, but well worth it. I'll get that big one next year, hopefully!
