Check out what 6 year old Riggin accomplished on his first hog hunt. He has been practicing his shot placement for a couple of months and his dad had been sending me photos of his shooting. Our feeders had already gone off when they had arrived so Riggin and his dad went on a spot and stalk and when this big boar was seen, dad got him set up and Riggin made the perfect shot to bring down this giant monster. Congratulations Riggin, can’t wait to see him on your wall! 


How about a 33” giant Merino? 6 year old Jaxon said “why YES I believe I will!” Jaxon had to put a spot and stalk on him from feeder 8 over to feeder 6 before he could get that perfect shot. His first shot knocked him down but he got back up, so Jaxon put another one in him to finish him off! He also killed 3 deer last year. Congratulations Jaxon and awesome shooting!

Josh was looking for a big Catalina and Black Mountain didn’t disappoint with this beautiful 162 lb. buck. It was even better when Josh was able to belly craw within shooting range and placed a great quartering shot, he only ran 20yds before doing the death wobble. Congratulations on a beautiful trophy Josh!

What a day! 3 Buffalo, 4 hogs, and a Aoudad.
Brian started it off yesterday with his Buffalo and today Tom was up first. It took several spot and stalk attempts before we could get one to stop and have a clear shot. When it did, Tom made a great heart shot and dropped straight down for an easy recovery. Great shooting Tom!!

Big Mountain Outfitters 

Mike was next and I think they were on to us. But patient is a key to hunting and Mike finally connected on this beauty. Now Mike didn’t earn any bonus points for where it finally went down on the side of our steep drop off at the back of the ranch. No way to get to it with our equipment, we cape and quartered it where it laid. No easy task, but the Black Mountain crew got it done. Mike will have a awesome shoulder mount and plenty of meat in the freezer! Way to go Mike!

Giant Aoudad down! Steve has always wanted to Bow hunt one of these monsters and we provided the perfect set up! After a spot and stalk sneak in, Steve made a great shot, but these toads are tough. Once he bedded down another sneak spot and stalk got Steve another opportunity to finish him off. Congratulations on your dream hunt Steve and thank you for allowing us to make it happen!

It’s been a Ram kinda day! JR saw this great looking Black Hawaiian and laid the hammer down when he presented a perfect shot opportunity. Way to go on a very pretty Ram JR!

6 year old Jackson saw this Desert Dragon 4 horn Ram and said “YEP” that’s the one I want! After a slow spot and stalk and getting set up Jackson made a perfect shot with his .243 and it was all over for this Dragon! Awesome job Jackson!

Seth was out spot and stalking some hogs when this 4 horn Jacob’s  came strolling through and decided he would look awesome on the wall. Waiting for that perfect shot took some patience, but it finally paid off! Great shooting Seth!

Terry had to work for this one! After a complete pass through with an arrow that appeared to be a great shot, Terry had to place a follow up shot to get his Aoudad down. Congratulations on a great Aoudad Terry!

Another beautiful Buffalo down! Aaron and his dad Trey came out and with the Ravin R10 and two great placed arrows Aaron was able to get his first Buffalo down. Congratulations Aaron! Nothing wasted with all the meat and a awesome blanket and cool Euro mount, this will be a hunt to remember!

What a Awesome day for a Buffalo Hunt! Blaine braved the 2 hour drive in the snow and we went Buffalo hunting! Once located Blaine had to patiently wake for a clear shot. Finally this big girl stepped out and Blaine put a great heart shot on her. She took two steps and fell over. Another wall hanger and freezer filler! Congratulations on a beautiful Buffalo Blaine!

Jaxon finish off today’s hunt with this 160 lb. boar! Took him 3 shots, but he got it done right from the stand at feeder 2. Way to go Jaxon, your a stud now with your first hog!

Daniel was up last for his Buffalo hunt and with two already down, he had a tremendous challenge with this one. It took several attempts and some good strategy to finally get a great shot opportunity. Daniel came through and dropped it for a easy recovery. Another trophy for the wall and a freezer full of some great tasting meat! Congratulations Daniel!

What a big day for Dana from Missouri! First up was a spot and stalk hunt for this big Bison Bull. Using his 50cal Hawken muzzleloader and finally closing the distance the shot hit both lungs and he dropped within 30 yds. Congratulations on a beautiful Bull Dana!

Check out this beautiful Sika! After chasing this big guy around chasing does, Mike finally was able to put a great shot on him. We then followed the blood trail that led to the pond dam and he was no where in site. Why? He expired right there and fell in! After poking around with a stick, Mike was finally able to locate and grab him and drag him out. Congratulations on a awesome trophy and some great eating steaks Mike!

( We used a air compressor to get him dried off. Mike is a taxidermist and plans on mounting him).

No Deer today, but got Thanksgiving taken care of!

How about a big Fallow buck! Mosby took advantage of our great deals on some awesome Fallow bucks. After some spot and stalking and waiting for him to present a shot he chose this big guy and let the hammer down! Great shooting Mosby and congratulations on a great trophy and filling up the fridge!

Talk about ending the year with a Bang! 
KC strikes again! We knew getting KC, a 6 year old with a crossbow within range was going to be a challenge. We decided to spot and stalk and go straight at em using cover to close the distance. Once in range KC dropped the hammer at 32 yds. The shot was a little back and the bull took off. Once we located him again we knew another spot and stalk was on the table. Using cover again we were able to spot and stalk to get just in front of him. He wasn’t feeling to good from the first shot and when he stopped broadside at 42 yds. KC literally dropped him in his tracks! What an exciting way to end our year! This kids patience and shooting ability is really amazing to see! She wouldn’t stop for the shot, but Steve led her right into the 6.5 creedmoor bullet! She took one step and fell backwards from a direct heart shot! Giant Aoudad down! We busted this big guy out of his favorite spot, so we knew he would eventually come back. We decided to set up a tree stand and hunt him the next day. We dropped Of Adam the next morning and of course Adam busted him out of his spot. After climbing in the stand, it didn’t take long for him to return and Adam was ready. Congratulations on a beautiful 30” Aoudad Adam! Can’t wait to see the mount!

No sir, our opening was Oct. 1 for archery.
