This is my brother Travis N Heather Putnam; this is him smiling on the inside! lol. Yesterday was a hunt I will not soon forget. Travis has been waiting patiently for this day since January, when we first talked. He's quiet and serious, a humble man with great character. He showed up being new to deer hunting, and he listened to everything I said to a tee! He is the guy who doesn't question where you put him or why, but he asks questions. He was learning, and he soaked it all in. All week the weather would not cooperate and I was feeling a little down, he kept saying I know I am going to get one. I just know it. I would say I know you are brother but with that gut feeling of uncertainty. Finally a break in the weather at 4:08pm he pulled the trigger and when I saw him he nervously said I did everything you said to do along with, I am not sure if I got her. Well he brought me to the exact spot and no blood we followed for about 40 yards and she opened up. I knew she wasn't far and then I saw her and I turned to him and hugged him and said you did it before he even saw her. We both were so pumped he got some pats on the back and another couple grizzly bear hugs. A perfect ending to a perfect ReBoot.
