It was a Tuesday morning. The day before we saw 18 moose, I passed them all up. I wasn’t ready to tag out yet. We were hunting broccoli fields, the moose were plentiful. My mom and I both had a tag. Tuesday morning at 6:15 I started calling my parents to tell them we had 5 moose in our field. They went back and fourth on it they were coming to our field or staying in the one they were in. They finally decided to come. At 6:47 we now had 7 moose in the field. My boyfriend, my dads friend and I had been watching these moose for about a hour now thanks to the night vision binoculars. We all got out of the trucks and I put the smack down on this ole girl. She walked out of the woods out of nowhere. It was a bad day for her, once I laid eyes on her and the .243 got ahold of her she didn’t take another step. Then two minutes later my mom started shooting.  It was her first kill and her moose laid down in the woods. Adrenaline was pumping and I was so excited for my mom. That’s the moment she became hooked on hunting.
