Starting the season with one crossbow with snapped strings and one that broke while siting it in, ended up getting another crossbow. Went out hunting with my dad, see this 5 point buck and let the arrow fly. Looked like a perfect hit. Left the woods and waited about 40 mins to start tracking. First spot was alot of hair and blood. The blood trail was easy to follow, was coming out both sides. He swooped around a bend and hit a dirt road. He left big dig marks and a blood trail. We entered another patch of woods, heard some noises so stopped the track for about 15 more mins then headed back in. Sure enough a little ways in, he was humped up right there. Perfect shot right through his lungs. Thank God we had a jet sled, we threw him there and we took turns getting him to the truck which was a ways away. Now I'm headed on a moose hunt with my mom this coming weekend. A cow in zone 5.
