The reason it takes me so long to write a post is because I don’t want to rush it or over think it. I want my post to naturally come to me so I can truly say I’m speaking from the heart. Every time I write one of these post tears are always running down my face. Yesterday which was Thursday, October 7th 2021 legal shooting time was 6:11am. At 6:20 am, buck down. 126 pound 6 pointer. 9 minute hunt couldn’t of gone any better. Russ, Mya, and I couldn’t believe how everything went down. Memories of a life time. So much has changed since getting my last deer 2 seasons ago but what made this years hunt even more special was being able to walk. Being able to experience walking into the hunting spot, setting up and everything about the hunt but  having Mya and Russ there to experience it with me was what made it even more meaningful and more emotional. This hunt will always hold a special place in my heart. They have taught me a lot and always willing to go above and beyond for me and other veterans, LEOs and Active duty service members. I want to tell everyone a little bit about my story. When I first got back to Maine, I was looking around to find a church to go to. Well the church I choose, Russ and Tanya Noyes went to. Before they even really knew me, they could tell I was struggling. Once I kinda started not making appearance to church. My pastor at the time reach out to me on Facebook. He asked me if I was a veteran, I said yes. He told me someone will be reaching out to me. little did I know Daniel Waite founder of Operation ReBoot OutDoors personally called me to check up on me. I can’t thank Russ and Tanya enough for what they did for me before they even knew me. I have tears in my eyes just thinking about it. It’s very emotional for me because it means so much for me. I haven’t told to many people about how Reboot found me but I think it time. I started to watch the Reboot page, last minute I saw they where taken names and putting them in a bag to draw them to see who gets a bear hunt. Well little did I know, my name got picked. This is so hard for me to write. It’s amazing how things work out. When I got my name picked it gave me something to look forward to because I knew I didn’t have much more fight in me to keep going. From the moment I pulled into Reboot on my first bear hunt, my whole life changed for the better. I really got to know Dan, Nicole Waite, Russ, Mya, and Abraham J Bradeen and there families and everyone part of Reboot. Ever since that day everyone part of Reboot and there family treated me like family. Before I knew it, They became family to me. They never judged me, held anything against me and always was willing to help me. All of Reboot wanted to make sure I had an amazing experience during bear season 2 years ago. All of Reboot went above and beyond. All of Reboot will always hold a special place in my heart.
