The night before, a 6x6 (I'm guessing) came to about 75 yards, but the deadfalls were too thick and he just wasn't interested enough to push through. This worked in my favor because I got out my "buck fever" (even though he was an elk...) on that one. It was pretty epic when this guy charged in to my friend's calling. Took a while for it to sink in once that arrow flew!
It's got to be such a charge getting that close to an animal that large.
