It’s amazing how many people think I didn’t get a deer. Well here it is a 160 pound 6 pointer. Before Operation ReBoot OutDoors about 3 or  4 years ago, I never thought I would be doing anything outdoors again. It all started with getting to go on a bear hunt with reboot 3 or 4 years ago. That’s when things started to change in my life. When I first started hunting again, Daniel Waite literally would have to carry me on his shoulder to and from the blind and literally drag and gut and do all the work for me so I could harvest that animal. Never in a million years would I think I would be hunting by myself or doing anything myself when it came to hunting. Over those 3 or 4 years Dan Waite, Abraham J Bradeen, Mya, Russ and many other reboot volunteers showed me and taught me how to become a better outdoorsman when it comes to hunting deer, moose, bear, and turkey. Fast forward to now that I’m healed from my surgery in 2020. I have been hitting the woods hard this year by myself. Well yesterday I was driving back from my appointment and was heading to go out hunting. Well I saw this buck cross the road in front of me. I knew where that buck was heading. So I drove to the area and got my vest and hat on and grabbed my rifle and walked a little ways and I looked up and there he was. Around 12:30 pm I shot this nice buck and it didn’t even go 30 yards. This year I did everything myself from dragging the deer to loading it in my truck and even gutting it. Thank you Mya for coming to make sure I gutted the deer the proper way. Dragging Deer is a lot of work and especially trying to get it in you’re truck by yourself.  Wow this brings a lot of tears to the eyes because far I have come in just 3 or 4 years is beyond amazing. The therapeutic power that nature offers is beyond amazing and some of the best medicine out there.
