Moose hunt 2024. I got the tag and my grandfather was my subpermitte. He never shot a moose in his life. We stayed at our friends camp. There was my mom, Matt, my grandparents and our friend Blackey. The opening day was freezing, it had snowed in the early morning. We went out to sit in a field behind cover where we say moose sign while scouting. We saw a moose way way in another field, with no luck by truck to get there. We were froze, and couldnt even feel oir bodies. We did a little bird hunting, i got to shoot a partridge which we ate at camp and it was so good. 
Day 2 was short and sweet. Saw a moose in a field, and by using the GPS we had to navigate to get to it. We finally arrived after going through some craziness and adrenaline and hopes that by the time we got there the cow would still be there. We pulled up, me and my grandfather got out and I told him ready 3,2,1 Bang Bang! Dumped it...our shots were side by side ○○. It was the easiest moose hunt loading ever. We called my mom.and grandfather that was back at camp. They brought the trailer to us, the moose was on a knoll and we were able to back the trailer right up and roll the moose right on after gutting it. With the help of everyone pulling and pushing. It was such a fun hunt and ao glad I got to do it with my grandfather and my family being there.  She was 510 lbs. We packed it with ice and spend some more time at camp, celebrating and trying for some more birds. It was so much fun.
