Went out cat hunting with my best friend have been friends since we were 1st graders i have a young hound and a 6 year old i run on bear that i wanted to try on bobcats so i did i found a track at 9:30 on saturday january 6 and was snowed in a little bit but i told my buddy if we walk it with the king till he can get some scent we should be in good shape so we did we found where he had eaten of a porcupine carcass and i could tell that he was getting scent He was  acting gamey and king opened a couple times then he went 100 or so yards and started screaming went 300 yrds and was caught i couldnt believe it we didnt have a gun so we walked back to the truck got a gun and realized hunter followed us  out of the woods and king was moveing towards us but up the road a little bit so we drove up a little ways and he showed treed about 600 yrds away so we started in we hit his tracks about 300yrds away and hunter took off opening when we arrived they were barking very little so i hooked them up and looked up a sure enough there he was in the top of a fir tree a nice cat so we took some pictures and i was able to harvest my first cat ever and first of many cats infront of my hounds
