Nice story.   I need to stop procrastinating and get my bow hunting license

My first deer with a bow. Mitch Simpson invited me to hunt with him at one of his spots near Bangor. We went about a week before and set up a tree stand in a huge pine tree. Mitch told me it was always a good first day spot. Sure enough I had not been sitting for 5 minutes when I saw the first deer. Unfortunately it was before legal shooting time so I could not shoot. Shortly after this about 10 minutes after legal shooting time began this piebald doe walked out at 30 yards. For those who bow hunt you know that the beginning of shooting time and the end it is sometimes difficult to find your pin in your peep site. After being at full draw and trying to get my pin on her I finally got it and made the shot. Not many people shoot a deer the first day ever bow hunting let alone the first 15 minutes.
