Opening day of bow season. Full velvet 8 point.  I had shot a doe sitting in this same stand in the morning. The camera Sam Kulikowski had on the apple tree in front of the stand had been very busy over the last couple of weeks so I was extremely confident going into the afternoon sit. The camera was one that had an internal viewing screen on it. When I got there in the afternoon I grabbed the camera before getting in the stand so I could view all the pictures from the past few days. I got into the stand right around 345. I began looking through the photos it had taken at around 430 or so. When looking at the pictures I learned there was a giant 10 point under my stand during the morning sit while I was there before legal. I got in super early and could not see but I did hear the deer eating apples in front of me. I also learned that this deer pictured above what coming into that tree every day consistently around 435. I quickly put the camera away and got ready. Sure enough the deer walked right in within 10 minutes. I hit the bone and didn’t get great penetration which lead to a nightmare of a track but we found it. Your not a real bow hunter if this hasn’t happen to you.
